The book is intended for engineers, students who want to accelerate their code using GPU programming with MATLAB. The main objective of this book is to speedup the numerical methods used for fractional calculus using GPU computing with MATLAB. This book starts with the basic concepts of fractional calculus and numerical methods used for approximation of fractional-order integrals, derivatives and fractional-order ordinary differential equations. The book further covers the GPU computing terminology with MATLAB Parallel Computing Toolbox and in-built GPU enabled MATLAB functions which allows accelerating the applications without extensive knowledge of GPU programming.
Dr. Mukesh D. Patil (Ph.D., IIT Bombay) is a Professor and HOD of Electronics and Telecomm Engg at Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology, Navi Mumbai, India. His current research area is fractional-order control, and parallel computing. He has published more than 90 papers and 3 book chapters. He guided more than 50 PG and guiding 3 Ph.D. candidate.
