Modelling, Simulation and Validation of Estimated Solar Radiation

A step towards sustainable revolution
Langbeschreibung
The renewable sources of energy are of utmost importance in context of the increasing energy demands. The sun energy available in abundance can be utilized effectively subjected to the availability of data on solar radiation flux, which is the major concern. In this study, a novel attempt has been made for the prediction of solar radiation at Amravati (Maharashtra), India. This book shows seven developed models for predicting each of monthly mean global radiation and monthly mean diffuse radiation for city Amravati, correlating with sunshine hours, average temperature and relative humidity. Both linear and non-linear correlations developed are compared with conventional models and measured values available for last five years from the meteorological data from nearest available meteorological data centre.
Mr. Bhushan Mahajan has completed his Masters from NIT Jamshedpur, India. His areas of interest include renewable energy, power electronics and semicondutors. Dr. Kumari Namrata is an Associate Professor in Electrical Department at NIT Jamshedpur. She is actively involved in ongoing research in field of renewable energy and solar radiation.
