Some Mites Inhabiting Fruit Trees On Two Districts In North Sinai

A study with concern to Taxonomy, Distribution and Economic importance for Mites
Langbeschreibung
The Sinai Peninsula is a peninsula in Egypt, it is divided into two governorates: the South Sinai Governorate and the North Sinai Governorate. Several species of fauna inhabit fruit trees particularly arthropods and specially mites. Fruit mites have demanded attention from growers since the beginning of fruit trees culture. Because many species are harmful to trees and fruit, Acarologists recognized the need to study their ecology, biology and ways to control them. The present work aimed to introduce a detailed study concerning the taxonomy, distribution and economic importance of these taxa. Taxonomy and ecology of the collected species have been studied at two sites in North Sinai Governorate. Also, the biology of the most common type, a cosmopolitan species infesting citrus culture and was observed abundant in the investigated areas is implemented. In addition, because the present book is the first in the field of Acarology in El-Arish University, figures of the already known acrofauna along with the description and illustration of two new species are included. This airing or March-past may be a guide for future studies in the field of ACAROLOGY in Sinai Peninsula, EGYPT.
