Courttia Newland is a novelist, playwright and screenwriter. His novels include the critically acclaimed Snakeskin, The Dying Wish and The Scholar. He is the co-editor of IC3: The Penguin Book of New Black Writing in Britain and The Global Village (with Monique Roffey). Newland was nominated for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, the CWA Dagger in the Library Award, the Alfred Fagon Award and the Frank O'Connor Award.
