Jennifer M Calder studied English Language and Literature at Edinburgh University and her expertise lies in the field of children's literacy having taught English and Special Needs in primary and secondary schools. During her time as a full-time mother she wrote for her own children. She has moved home to the Scottish Highlands to focus on her writing. The Secret of Skara Vhore is her debut novel.
